Interpretation of Omar Khayyam

A single breath, a borrowed cloak, We dance across the moonlit stage. A laugh, a tear, a whispered joke, Then shadows claim the fleeting page.

This tapestry of joy and woe, With threads of gold and crimson spun, Is all we have, and all we know, Beneath the gaze of setting sun.

So fill your cup with ruby wine, And sing your song with all your might. For love and laughter soon decline, Like embers fading in the night.

Let go of fear, let doubt take flight, Embrace the beauty, fleeting spark. One precious dawn, one starlit night, Live, love, and leave your joyous mark.

For in this garden, fair and brief, Where roses bloom and thorns may sting, We taste the honeyed draught of grief, And find in dust the dance of spring.

So raise your glass, let spirits soar, Defy the darkness, hold your breath. One fragile flame, forevermore, We light against the veil of death.
